Brainerd Area Coalition for Peace is taking part in the Minnesota Department of Transportation's "Adopt-a-Highway" program to pick up litter along a section of Highway 371. Our section of highway is between mile markers 2.5 and 4 North of Little Falls. We will be doing the cleanup at least twice a year. The Minnesota Department of Transportation will erect a sign recognizing our group's commitment to this program.
Notice of scheduled cleanup will be posted on this BACP website's "Home" page and on our email listserv. We would like to make this an enjoyable group event as well as a working event, and we plan to follow up each cleanup with a potluck gathering.
Working along a highway can be dangerous. Everyone who volunteers to take part in this cleanup should be familiar with the information in the following documents, which will continue to be available here:
